East Carnegie is a small neighborhood located to the southwest of Downtown Pittsburgh. It is bordered by the city neighborhood of Oakwood, and the suburban communities of Carnegie, Crafton, and Green Tree. East Carnegie’s community is rooted in the longevity of its residents, some living there for several generations. The neighborhood is home to the Union Electric Steel Corporation and several strong businesses in the area. Several shopping areas are within close proximity, including that of Robinson Township, accessible by the nearby Parkway West.
