West Pittsburgh

Located on the western edge of the city, Fairywood contains serene old homes tucked among the trees and hillsides, against the quiet backdrop of blue skies and the hush that only woodlands can create.

Despite its tucked-away feel, Fairywood is only ten minutes away from Downtown Pittsburgh via public transportation. Shopping is also convenient, with Crafton-Ingram Shopping Center only a mile down the road, and McKees Rocks Plaza just three miles away. Residents also have access to Allegheny Center Mall, just a five-minute drive by car across the West End Bridge.

Many residents of Fairywood are life-long inhabitants, and volunteers focus on community programs for senior residents. Annual Unity Day Festival, regular town meetings, teenage dances, and children's talent shows keep this tight-knit neighborhood entertained.
