CITY TAX ABATEMENT PROGRAMS

Purchase or build a new home or make home improvements on your existing residence in the City of Pittsburgh, and your Allegheny County, City of Pittsburgh and District School taxes can be abated for three years. If your home is located within a Targeted Growth Zone*, your City of Pittsburgh and School District taxes can be abated for up to 10 years after the property is reassessed.
